Resolution No. SI-R22-006: Minimum Wage Act of 2022
At a duly called meeting of the Council of San Ildefonso Pueblo on the 22nd day of June, 2022, the following law was adopted:
WHEREAS, many employers have adopted a minimum wage of $15 per hour for full-time employees; and,
WHEREAS, the cost of living expenses including but not limited to rent, gasoline, food and etc. have significantly increased; and,
WHEREAS, in order to be competitive and provide employees with a sufficient rate of pay, the Council has determined that it is the Pueblo's best interest to establish a standard minimum wage of $15 per hour for full-time employees.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council hereby enacts the attached law entitled "MINIMUM WAGE ACT OF 2022."
MINIMUM WAGE ACT OF 2022
Section 1.1. Short Title
This enactment shall be known as the "MINIMUM WAGE ACT OF 2022."
Section 1.2. Purpose
The purpose of this Act is to set a minimum wage for full-time Tribal employees.
Section 1.3. Findings
The Council hereby finds and declares that:
(a) Many employers have adopted a minimum wage of $15 per hour for full-time employees.
(b) The cost of living expenses including but not limited to rent, gasoline, food and etc. have significantly increased.
(c) In order to be competitive and provide employees with a sufficient rate of pay, the Council has determined that it is the Pueblo's best interest to establish a standard minimum wage of $15 per hour for full-time employees.
Section 1.4. Approval
The Council hereby approves and enacts the standard minimum wage to be effective immediately.
CERTIFICATION
The foregoing resolution was duly voted upon by the Council on June 22, 2022, at a meeting with a vote of 8 in favor, 0 opposed, 0 abstaining and 2 absent (Governor presiding and not voting) pursuant to the authority vested in the Council by the Agreement of the Pueblo de San Ildefonso.

Resolution No. SI-R22-006 was presented to the Governor of the Pueblo de San Ildefonso on the 22nd day of June, 2022, pursuant to the Governing document of the Pueblo de San Ildefonso ("Agreement"), GOVERNOR, Sec. 4(c), and will become effective after signature by the Governor or veto override by the Council.
