15.1.17.030 Findings

The Council hereby finds and declares that:

(a) The San Ildefonso Housing Authority ("SIHA") is the Tribally Designated Housing Entity for the Pueblo and develops and manages housing programs for the Pueblo's tribal members; and,

(b) The SIHA is developing the Deer Tail Phase 2 Subdivision, consisting of forty (40) acres, more or less, which will provide lots for homes managed by SIHA and homes built by individual tribal members pursuant to a home mortgage; and,

(c) The SIHA requires a lease to the Subdivision site to allow the SIHA to plan the subdivision, and to allow SIHA to sublease lots to families that qualify for a mortgage, and to enter into occupancy agreements with eligible tribal members for the lease-purchase or rental of a home.
